How does Clearskincare CP Serum work?       
Once absorbed after application to the skin’s surface, copper peptides activate the processes that remove scarred or damaged tissue (scar collagen) and deposit new healthy skin (healthy collagen) – (Maquart, Simeon, Paco, Monboisse, J. Soc. Biol., 193, 1999, 423)
 
At the molecular level, copper peptides stimulate the rebuilding of new skin by increasing angiogenesis, the production of m-RNA for collagen, elastin, proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans and decorin, while simultaneously stimulating the m-RNA production of, and synthesis of, certain metalloproteinases and anti-proteases that clear damaged protein and remove scars (Simeon, Monier, Emonard, Gillery; Birembaut, Hornebeck,  Maquart, J. Invest. Dermatol., 112, 1999, 957).
 
Copper peptides suppress the secretion of scar-forming TGF-beta-1 by fibroblasts (McCormack, Nowak, Koch, Arch. Facial Plast. Surg., 3, 2001, 28).

In addition copper peptides act as chemical lures for cells that stimulate repair, such as macrophages and mast cells.  These cells release growth factor proteins that stimulate tissue repair (Maquart, Gillery, Monboisse, Pickart, Laurent, Borel, Ann. N.Y. Acad. Sci., 580, 1990).

How effective is Clearskincare CP Serum in comparison with other products?
In clinical trials, copper peptides were found to be more effective in stimulating new collagen development than Vitamin C, retinoic acid or melatonin (Abulghani, Shirin, Morales-Tapia, Sherr, Solodkina, Robertson, Gottlieb, J. Invest. Derm., 110, 1998, 686).    
 
How safe is Clearskincare CP Serum?
