We know from clinical trials that Vitamin A has numerous beneficial effects on the skin including stimulating dermal collagen production, improving dermal water content and stabilizing melanocytes ( which are our pigment producing cells ) . Vitamin A also has a sun protective action in the skin by absorbing UVB.
